A Classic Car Experience to Remember
Why hire from us?
The first reason we have a wide choice is simply that we have one of the largest classic car hire fleets in the UK.
Secondly, some classic car hire companies theme their range of cars. We have taken a different approach and have chosen to provide a wide range of British, American and European classic and modern classic cars.
Everyone’s favourite car is different and by doing this we can provide cars to suit most tastes.
This is particularly useful if you are buying a gift voucher but are not absolutely sure which car would be best. Our gift vouchers can be used for the car you chose, or the cost of the voucher can be used towards any of our other cars.
We might have one of the largest fleet in the UK, but the company is not so large you are dealing with a faceless organisation.
Classic Car Hire North is a family run business and normally when you hire a classic car you will be dealing directly with the owners.
Driving a classic car is a great experience in itself, but much more fun if you’re driving through beautiful countryside.
From our Keighley site it’s a short drive to the country lanes of the Yorkshire Dales, and the Lake District is within easy reach. From our Leeds site the Dales and North York Moors are nearby. The Yorkshire Coast is accessible from both sites.
From our Cheshire site, The Peak District and North wales are within easy reach.
When you hire a classic car from us we can provide a range of driving routes and ideas of places to go. And we keep track of the classic car events and shows in the local area.
In their Terms and Conditions some car hire companies reserve the right to substitute cars at their own discretion. So you don’t necessarily get the car you thought you were booking.
There is no such clause in our Terms and Conditions.
All the photos of the cars on the website are photos of the actual car you will hire. They are not library pictures. What you see is what you get.
Everybody has a different idea about what makes a good trip. Some people like midweek, some like weekends. Some have specific requirements like weddings or proms, and so on.
As a result it’s difficult to have a single price structure which suits everyone.
We believe we have the widest range of price packages of any classic car hire company in the UK. So that when hire a classic car from us, you can choose the option which best fits your requirements.
We accept payments by Visa /MasterCard, Credit/Debit card, PayPal, bank transfer or cheque. Pay by Credit Card or PayPal and you benefit from the extra protection afforded by these methods.
Security deposits are pre-authorised on a credit/debit card meaning no money is taken at that point. You are simply authorising us to do so in the unlikely event of any damage to the vehicle.
Booking with us is simple.
You can enquire by phone on 01535 279152. Or you can just fill in our easy to complete contact form to contact us by email.
Bookings can be made over the phone, and gift vouchers can be purchased on the phone or on-line.
Confirmation of hires are sent by post. Gift vouchers are sent by post or email, depending on your preference.
Richard, Keith (who runs the Leeds Branch) and Martin (who runs the Oxford Branch) are car enthusiasts who know their cars inside out.
So if you need advice on which car might be best for your classic car experience you’ve come to the right place. Or if you’re booking a car as a present for someone else we can help with any details you might be unsure about.
If you want to hire a classic car because you’re thinking of buying one, then as well as hiring you the car we can point out what to look for.
Using self-drive cars for weddings is more fun than using chauffeur driven cars, but you have to work out how to pick the car up and get it back without interfering with your wedding day, wedding rehearsal and so on.
We have plenty of experience of this and can help you work out the best solution for your special day.
