You can buy classic car hire gift vouchers for any of our cars and for any of our price options, but to make it easier we’ve provided secure on-line forms for our most popular options with insurance for 1 driver. Payments are processed by PayPal, but you don’t need to have a PayPal account.
For more complex requirements (2 or more drivers, a picnic, multiple days, a specific date, or any of our other options) then please request a custom gift voucher.
How Gift Vouchers Work
For a fantastic gift that he or she won’t be expecting you can purchase a gift voucher which enables the recipient to book their day or days out when they choose. Use them for:
- Fathers Day or Mothers Day
- Any other special occasion
The gift voucher you purchase is valid for 12 months, from the date of the celebration. For example, the date of the recipient’s birthday or 25th December if its a Christmas voucher.
The price includes Comprehensive Insurance for one driver, VAT, breakdown cover and parking for your own car.
The All Day voucher includes 200 free miles. Both the 2 Day Midweek voucher and the Weekend voucher include 300 free miles.
The excess mileage charge varies from £0.55 per mile to £1.20 per mile depending on the car, and can be seen on the prices page. Most people don’t exceed those limits anyway, so don’t incur mileage charges.
When you buy the voucher you specify the car and price package. But if the person you buy the voucher for prefers a different car or different package they can switch when they book the day, paying any difference which might apply.
Vouchers are not refundable, but they are transferrable from one package to another and / or from one car to another.

This is no problem at all. Your voucher can either be posted to you or sent by email – it’s your choice. If you would like it to be posted we will send it in a plain envelope, and you can ask for it to be sent to a different address if that’s what you prefer.
Please make sure the recipient of the voucher complies with the insurance requirements. If in any doubt please ring us.
In some cases our insurers will make exceptions, so it’s always worth asking.
Vouchers can be purchased on-line or over the telephone.
For telephone orders we accept Visa and MasterCard debit and credit card payments.
On-line orders are paid using PayPal’s secure on-line payment systems, as used by millions of people at thousands of shops. You can use your debit / credit card through PayPal, so you don’t have to have a PayPal account to order on-line.
When the person you have given the voucher to is ready to book the date, all they have to do is contact us. Bookings are subject to availability but if the booking is made about 6 weeks in advance, whilst there are no guarantees, there is a good chance of getting the date required.
Once the date is agreed we will send them an insurance form to complete and directions to the pick up point. They should return the insurance form at least 2 weeks before the date the hire starts
When they pick the car up they will be required to sign a Hire Contract. We will also need to see their driving licence, a secondary proof of address (utility bill, bank statement….) and will need to take the security deposit.
The security deposit taken on the day the hire starts is processed as a pre-authorisation on their card. This means that no money is actually taken , it just authorises us to take up to that amount in the unlikely event that the car is damaged during their hire.
Once their hire is complete we hope they have a had a wonderful day and that the experience exceeded their expectations.
Generally, drivers must be
- Aged between 25 and 75 for most cars, 30 to 65 on others
- Have had a full licence for 2 years or more
- Have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence
- Have had no more than 2 accidents or claims in the past three years
- Have no mental or physical problems which affect their ability to drive
